The association PEFC Netherlands was established on May 8, 2008 by:
the Federation of Private Landowners : The FPG is an association of private owners of agricultural land (leased or private use), (old and new) estates, forests and natural areas;
Foundation Marke Venray to 2013 manager of the forests City Venray ;
Biomass Streamline: former subsidiary of Van Gansewinkel ;
and General Association Homegrown Timber (AVIH): The AVIH is the trade association for entrepreneurs in the forestry sector in the Netherlands.
In addition, they were supported by the Royal Dutch Association of Paper and Board (VNP). The VNP is the sector of the Dutch paper and cardboard industry.
Objective PEFC Netherlands
PEFC aims the number of companies with Chain of Custody certification and the area of certified forest to expand in the Netherlands. Through education, knowledge transfer and promotion in the Dutch supply chain from forest to product, PEFC increased awareness and acceptance of the international PEFC label for companies, forest owners and consumers.
